After I go through the background and methods of the survey, Clark will review the major results. I will return with Clark to answer questions live after the presentation has ended. During the presentation, you are welcome to submit questions in the Q&A box. I will first note that the survey is the result of a collaborative partnership with The National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers. https://www.ncsbn.org/15185.htm ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. SUD programs typically require regular check-ins, random drug testing, attendance at structured peer group support meetings, attendance at mutual support meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous, and worksite monitoring, but program-specific requirements vary across states. SUD programs for physicians are known as Physician Health Programs, PHP. https://www.ncsbn.org/15185.htm ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. As a result, regulators have become increasingly involved in overseeing the use of simulation in nursing education, especially with regards to the use of simulation hours as a substitute for clinical hours. Since evidence on the effect of such substitution was lacking, NCSBN undertook the National Simulation Study with the intent of providing guidance to boards of nursing on the regulation of https://www.ncsbn.org/15185.htm ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. The survey was used to collect information regarding each school's curriculum, use of simulation, facilities, and substitution of simulation for clinical hours.
