Administrative Responsibilities/Primary Administrative Position. Out of all respondents, 18.3% reported having administrative responsibilities within their nursing positions. Of those respondents who reported having administrative responsibilities, 36.6% reported having a primary administrative position. 3 Activity Performance Findings Representativeness of Activity Statements. The participants were asked whether the activities on their questionnaire form represented what they actually did in their positions. A large majority (95.8%) indicated that the activities were representative of their current practice.

Work Stress and Job Satisfaction Work stress was rated on a scale of 1 to 3 with 0 = low stress and 3 = high stress. Job satisfaction was scored from 1 = low to 5 = high. Stress was higher in the study nurses than in the control nurses initially and at 6 months but the pattern reversed at 9 months when the control nurses showed more work stress.
